From the desk of Ms. Lagos: Ms. Lagos has updated her blackboard site to include an example and instrctions of homework sh emay assign. It will not be every week and it should be simple and fun, using the material in the spanish folder. She supports the IB traits of commitment and independence, but parents are encouraged to get involved. Instructions are written in each class on the board in English and modeled several times. an example of what it should look like is also provided. Mrs. Lagos' Black Board Site		Current Assignments Math Homework and Remembering~due daily. Reading Read for at least 80 minutes weekly. I advise splitting this up throughout the week. It's important that children read everyday to make it a life long habit. Please log your reading. Answer Reading Response Prompt one time before Friday. Turn in reading response journal on Friday. Spelling Complete a minimum of two spelling jobs per week. Due on Friday. Study for spelling test each week.

The 3 P's of Homework Purpose To enrich and extend school experiences through related home activities. To reinforce learning by providing practice and application. Procedure Students will receive math homework on a daily basis. The rest of the homework will be sent home on Mondays. Students will have no more than 20 minutes of homework each night. This does not include independent reading! Students are required to read at home for at least* 30 minutes every day. Math homework is sent home daily and returned the next day. Reading homework is due on Friday. Homework is never graded. Policy Students who have completed all homework to the best of their ability will be able to participate in "HOMEWORKOPOLOY". If your family has a very busy week and homework does not get completed, please send a note explaining why. If you have any questions about a particular homework assignment please email me. I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
